The HDW has supported these projects in collaboration with other campus departments:
- The Campbell House Culture Mapping project, run by American Culture Studies, in which artifacts from St. Louis' Campbell House Museum will be made available to non-specialist inquiry regarding their cultural significance.
- The Hurst Digital Archive of recordings "of readings and talks given by prominent poets, fiction writers, essayists, critics, and scholars of literature and language who have visited the University under the auspices of the Hurst Endowment."
- A project, proposed by the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts, to build a catalog of sustainable architectural materials.
