Principal Investigator: Giore Etzion
Professor Etzion maintains a website that helps Hebrew students learn verb conjugations. The site is a companion to The Routledge Introductory Course in Modern Hebrew: Hebrew in Israel, which he published a few years ago. Until now, Professor Etzion has done most of the work on the web site, and HDW has provided small amounts of advice on technical matters.
But technological change continues, so the web site needs to move to something that can be used from smart phones and tablets, which in turn requires a rewrite using HTML5, native browser support for audio, etc. Over the summer, the HDW prototyped a page that does all that. During the 2012-13 school year, the HDW plans on implementing the full site covering +200 verbs and +1500 conjugations.
